Optional Riders
To help you cope with unexpected and uncontrollable costs, The Destiny Health Plan can include various optional riders that may be paid out of your Insured Benefits, without depleting your Savings Account dollars. Optional riders are offered at the discretion of your employer.
Examples of optional riders might include:
- A Prescription Drug Rider with a spectrum of options, from coverage once the plan’s Annual Deductible is satisfied to first-dollar coverage, similar to a traditional drug card, subject only to a copay.
- A Preventive Care Rider, which offers first-dollar coverage (i.e., the Annual Deductible does not need to be satisfied before coverage begins) for the first $400 of select in-network preventive care services per member per policy year.
