Savings Account

The Destiny Health Plan’s “use-it-or-keep-it” Savings Account allows you to take control of your health care spending. It is one of the unique features of your health plan.

The Savings Account is a health care account set up for you with a fixed amount of money to spend each year for your health care expenses. Typically, it is structured as a Health Savings Account (HSA), part of the recently passed Medicare reform law, or as a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA).

Use your Savings Account to pay for doctor’s office visits, diagnostic tests, preventive care, alternative medicine, prescription drugs, hospitalization and surgical care. The coverage is first dollar–meaning that there are no limits that you have to meet before The Destiny Health Plan will cover your expenses. Once your Annual Deductible is satisfied, Insured Benefits are there to protect you.

Any money you don’t use rolls over for your eligible expenses next year. And, it earns interest along the way—so it pays to spend wisely.
